Any time you build a shed, it needs some sort of foundation to act as a buffer between the shed and the ground. an on-grade shed foundation made out of cinder blocks is a quick and easy foundation. Here at byler barns we have had great success using cinder blocks to build a block foundation for our portable sheds. these block foundations are quick, inexpensive, and far more reliable than simply setting a building on bare dirt.. The kind of concrete block you are using is plenty strong, though i don't see anything to keep your shed from moving, for example from strong wind, heavy rain, or leaning livestock. the strength of the joists is the next weakest link in this design..
Using 8 timber blocks, dig down a few cm and using a rubber mallet, create a timber support to keep the blocks tight together. now the base is built you can start to build your shed on top. once the shed is built, we recommend using an anchor kit as this will join the shed and base to stop movement.. Lower the automotive jack so the shed sits on the rear concrete blocks. raise the front of the shed, excavate the soil, make the gravel bed, and install a concrete block at each corner..
